This much anticipated annual
reggae event showcases the best talents in
roots, rock and reggae music. In
keeping with the motto, ‘Promoting Music, the
Universal Force’, 2009 will see top Jamaican
acts along with international artistes
performing to a diverse audience.
Headliners included: R&B queen Toni Braxton,
Keri Hilson, Ne-Yo, Nas, Damian Marley, Etana,
Taurus Riley amongst others.

The festival kicks off with the
beach party at Tropical Beach on Sunday, July
19, featuring top sound systems. On Thursday
July 23, top dancehall performers will
energize the full capacity crowd, while Friday
and Saturday will continue the tradition of
offering the finest reggae singers and bands,
alongside top international stars.
Reggae Sumfest is a must go event
on the calendar for 2009, and promises to once
again surpass the standards set in previous
years.

rocksteady, reggae and dancehall. We will walk

tread over to the famed Prince Buster's
landmark. A trailblazer, Prince Buster was one
of our early record distributors who went on to
operate his famous 'The voice of the People'
sound system, which focused on playing locally
produced records. Browse in his record store and
buy authentic vinyl reggae
records.
Then become a
reggae star and record a reggae song at Leggo's
Recording studio and board the bus at Big Yard
where the crown prince of Reggae the late Dennis
Brown was raised.
Dance in the streets to
the rhythms of Reggae music, Feel the
energy, bass and enjoy the vibes! hear
the boom of big sound systems and let the music
